“Salso” refers to saline, a note that well expresses the characteristics of the lagoon’s soils, products and landscapes. But refers also to the saltiness that equally well describes summer in the lagoon: a day on the boat with a stop in Certosa.
The restaurant can be experienced at all hours: you drop in for breakfast, at lunch you may have spaghetti with clams with jalapeño and lime or a fried fish, borage and aioli. Then, in a moment, it becomes aperitifs with lagoon cicchetti and a couple of drinks to enjoy at sunset.
Salso is managed by the Zambon family, a group already known in Venice for two other restaurants in town, Birraria La Corte and Bacàn.
The restaurant is open every day other than Tuesdays.
